From a Rough Idea to a Live Institutional Product
Lennar's BTR (Build-to-Rent) Opportunity Portal is a direct-to-institutional channel that gives BTR operators and institutional buyers access to Lennar's whole-community portfolios under structured terms — before they ever reach the open market. The portal gives buyers detailed community data, floor plans, financial comps, and demographic insights to evaluate and submit interest on entire BTR communities at scale.
The project started with a single conversation. After hearing the initial concept, I moved fast: gathering context, clarifying the business model, mapping an assumptive user journey, and building a working AI-assisted prototype — all before formal requirements were written. That prototype was demoed to Lennar leadership, ignited buy-in and further exploration, and became the foundation for the live product that followed.
